Project Overview

This project, undertaken for the National Authority for Potable Water and Sewage (NAPWASD), involves the comprehensive operation and maintenance of water pumping stations in El Manasra, Port Said Governorate. The project aims to ensure the continuous, reliable, and efficient supply of potable water to residential, commercial, and public facilities while maintaining the integrity and performance of the water distribution infrastructure. Through effective operation and proactive maintenance, the project supports sustainable water services, safeguards public health, and enhances the reliability of the water supply system.

Scope of Work

The project encompasses the complete operation and maintenance of all mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, and civil assets associated with the water pumping stations. Key activities include:

• Continuous operation and performance monitoring of water pumping stations.
• Preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance of pumps, motors, valves, generators, electrical panels, and control systems.
• Inspection, cleaning, and maintenance of pipelines, storage facilities, and associated equipment.
• Operation and maintenance of SCADA, instrumentation, and automation systems where applicable.
• Monitoring of water flow, pressure, and operational performance to ensure service reliability.
• Emergency response and breakdown maintenance to minimise service interruptions.
• Spare parts management, asset condition assessment, and replacement of deteriorated equipment.
• Preparation of operational reports, performance analyses, and compliance documentation in accordance with NAPWASD requirements.
• Implementation of occupational health, safety, and environmental (HSE) standards throughout all project activities.

Technological Impact

The project enhances the efficiency, reliability, and resilience of the potable water distribution network by integrating advanced operation and maintenance technologies. The implementation of SCADA systems, real-time monitoring, predictive maintenance strategies, and data-driven asset management enables continuous supervision of pumping station performance, rapid fault detection, and optimized maintenance planning.
