Project Overview
This project, carried out for the Saudi Arabia Ministry of Defense, involves the supply and installation of pressure vessels and Reverse Osmosis (RO) membranes for the desalination plants serving the Center and the School in Wadi Ad-Dawasir Governorate.
The project aims to enhance the performance, reliability, and efficiency of the existing RO desalination systems by replacing and installing new pressure vessels and high-performance RO membranes. The works improve desalination capacity, optimise water quality, increase system reliability, and ensure a continuous supply of potable water for the Ministry of Defense facilities.
The project supports the modernisation of water treatment infrastructure by improving plant efficiency, reducing operational downtime, extending equipment service life, and ensuring compliance with water quality and engineering standards.
Scope of Work
The project includes comprehensive supply, installation, testing, and commissioning works, including:
- Site inspection and assessment of existing RO desalination systems and installation requirements.
- Supply of pressure vessels, RO membranes, and all associated accessories in accordance with approved technical specifications.
- Removal and safe disposal of existing pressure vessels and membrane elements where required.
- Installation of new pressure vessels and RO membrane elements.
- Installation and connection of piping, fittings, supports, and associated mechanical components.
- Inspection and maintenance of high-pressure piping and related mechanical systems.
- Integration of the new equipment with the existing desalination plant infrastructure.
- Inspection and testing of electrical connections, instrumentation, and control systems associated with the RO units.
- Flushing, cleaning, testing, and commissioning of the installed RO systems.
- Performance testing to verify water production capacity, membrane efficiency, and treated water quality.
- Calibration and verification of operational parameters and monitoring equipment.
- Preparation of technical documentation, testing reports, operation manuals, and as-built drawings.
- Ensuring compliance with occupational health, safety, and environmental (HSE) requirements throughout project execution.
Technological Impact
