Erection of Water Conservation Tools in Governmental Building and Mosques in Riyadh Governorate

Project Overview

This project, carried out for the Saudi Arabia Ministry of Water & Electricity, involves the installation of water conservation tools in governmental buildings and mosques across Riyadh Governorate.

The project aims to improve water-use efficiency and reduce water consumption through the implementation of modern water-saving devices and technologies. It includes the supply, installation, testing, and commissioning of water conservation equipment designed to minimise water wastage while maintaining the required service quality and operational performance.

The project supports national water conservation initiatives by promoting sustainable water management practices, reducing demand on water resources, and enhancing awareness and efficiency in public facilities.

Scope of Work

The project encompasses the supply and installation of water conservation systems and devices, including:

  • Survey and assessment of existing water fixtures and consumption levels in governmental buildings and mosques.
  • Supply and installation of water-saving devices for sanitary fixtures, including water-efficient faucets, flow regulators, and dual-flush systems.
  • Replacement and upgrading of existing fixtures with high-efficiency water conservation alternatives.
  • Installation of water-saving accessories and components to reduce unnecessary water consumption.
  • Inspection and modification of plumbing connections where required to accommodate new conservation devices.
  • Testing and commissioning of installed water conservation equipment to verify proper operation.
  • Conducting performance checks to evaluate water-saving efficiency and system effectiveness.
  • Providing technical support and maintenance recommendations for installed conservation tools.
  • Preparation of technical reports, installation records, and project documentation.
  • Ensuring compliance with occupational health, safety, and environmental (HSE) requirements during project execution.

Technological Impact

The project contributes to improving water efficiency in public facilities through the implementation of advanced water conservation technologies and efficient plumbing solutions. The installed devices help reduce water consumption, minimise wastage, and improve the overall management of water resources.

The project supports sustainable water management objectives by lowering operational water demand, reducing utility costs, promoting environmental responsibility, and encouraging efficient water-use practices in governmental buildings and mosques. It aligns with national strategies for water conservation and the sustainable utilisation of water resources in Saudi Arabia.
