Project Overview
This project, carried out for the Saudi Electricity Company, involves the rental and operation of mobile desalination plants at Shoaiba, Rabigh, and Jeddah South Thermal Power Plants within the Western Operating Area (WOA) Power Production Sector (PPS).
The project aims to provide a flexible and reliable temporary water desalination solution to support the operational requirements of thermal power plants. It includes the deployment, installation, operation, and maintenance of mobile desalination units to ensure a continuous supply of high-quality treated water for power generation facilities.
The project enhances water supply reliability, supports uninterrupted power plant operations, and provides an efficient solution for managing temporary or emergency water treatment requirements in compliance with technical specifications and environmental standards.
Scope of Work
The project encompasses the rental, installation, operation, and maintenance of mobile desalination plants, including:
- Supply and deployment of mobile seawater desalination units at Shoaiba, Rabigh, and Jeddah South Thermal Power Plants.
- Installation, connection, and commissioning of mobile RO desalination systems and associated equipment.
- Operation and maintenance of desalination units to ensure continuous and reliable water production.
- Operation and maintenance of RO skids, high-pressure pumps, feed pumps, membrane systems, filtration units, chemical dosing systems, and auxiliary equipment.
- Installation and connection of temporary piping networks, electrical systems, power supply connections, and control systems.
- Monitoring and control of water production parameters, including flow rates, pressure levels, and water quality.
- Conducting water quality testing and laboratory analysis to ensure compliance with required standards.
- Preventive and corrective maintenance of mechanical, electrical, and electromechanical systems.
- Troubleshooting and emergency response to minimise operational interruptions.
- Providing technical support and operational assistance throughout the rental period.
- Preparation of operation reports, maintenance records, and performance documentation.
- Ensuring compliance with occupational health, safety, and environmental (HSE) requirements throughout project execution.
Technological Impact
