Design, Fabrication, and Installation of 300 Industrial Electrical Panels- Manufacturing & Processing Facilities

Project Overview

This large-scale electrical infrastructure project, executed for Al Khalij Company, encompasses the end-to-end design, assembly, and installation of more than 200 customized electrical panels across various industrial facilities in the Dammam Governorate. The project is engineered to provide robust, safe, and highly efficient power distribution and motor control solutions tailored to the demanding continuous operational cycles of heavy industry.

Scope of Work

  • Engineering & Design: Comprehensive electrical engineering including load flow analysis, short-circuit calculations, and the creation of detailed single-line diagrams (SLDs) and control schematics in strict compliance with IEC standards and local SEC regulations.

  • Panel Fabrication: Assembly of a diverse range of industrial panels, including Main Distribution Boards (MDBs), Sub-Main Distribution Boards (SMDBs), Motor Control Centers (MCCs), Power Factor Correction (PFC) capacitor banks, and PLC-based automated control panels.

  • Installation & Integration: Precision on-site installation, heavy-duty cable routing, precise termination, and seamless integration of the panels into the existing industrial power grid with minimal operational downtime.

  • Testing & Commissioning: Rigorous Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) followed by Site Acceptance Testing (SAT), including insulation resistance testing, primary injection tests, and full energization protocols to ensure absolute safety and functional reliability.

Technological Impact

By deploying over 200 modern, high-spec electrical panels, the industrial facilities benefit from highly resilient power architecture that drastically reduces the risk of electrical faults and unplanned outages. The integration of smart metering and intelligent motor protection relays enables real-time power monitoring and predictive maintenance. Furthermore, the inclusion of automated Power Factor Correction panels optimizes energy consumption, lowering utility costs and minimizing the carbon footprint of Al Khalij Company's industrial operations.
