Project Overview
This project, carried out for the Saudi Arabia Ministry of Defense / KAMA, involves the replacement and upgrading of the existing sewage network at the Labour Camp.
The project aims to improve the reliability, efficiency, and environmental performance of the wastewater collection system by replacing aged and deteriorated sewage pipelines and associated components with modern infrastructure. The works include civil, mechanical, and related utility activities to ensure safe and efficient wastewater conveyance throughout the camp facilities.
The project supports the Ministry of Defense’s infrastructure improvement initiatives by enhancing sanitation services, reducing leakage risks, minimising maintenance requirements, and ensuring compliance with environmental, health, and engineering standards.
Scope of Work
The project encompasses the complete replacement of the existing sewage network, including:
- Inspection and assessment of the existing sewage network to identify damaged and deteriorated sections.
- Removal and disposal of old and damaged sewage pipelines and network components.
- Supply and installation of new sewage pipelines, fittings, manholes, inspection chambers, and related accessories.
- Rehabilitation and improvement of sewage collection points and drainage structures.
- Execution of excavation, trench preparation, bedding, backfilling, and surface restoration works.
- Modification and connection of the new sewage network with existing facilities and utility systems.
- Testing and inspection of sewage pipelines to verify integrity and proper operation.
- Cleaning, flushing, and commissioning of the completed sewage network.
- Preparation of as-built drawings, technical documentation, testing reports, and completion records.
- Coordination of replacement activities to minimise disruption to camp operations.
- Ensuring compliance with occupational health, safety, and environmental (HSE) requirements throughout project execution.
