Operation and Maintenance & Training of Pumping Station, Lifting Station, Fountains, and Artesian Wells in 10th of Ramadan City

Project Overview

This project, undertaken for the New Urban Communities Authority, involves comprehensive operation, maintenance, and training services for the pumping station, lifting station, fountains, and artesian wells in 10th of Ramadan City. The project aims to ensure the continuous, efficient, and reliable operation of water infrastructure and landscape water facilities while maintaining compliance with operational standards, safety requirements, and sustainability objectives. In addition to operation and maintenance activities, the project includes specialised training programmes to enhance the technical capabilities of operation and maintenance personnel, improve asset management practices, and ensure the long-term reliability and performance of the city’s water facilities.

Scope of Work

The project encompasses complete operation, maintenance, and training activities for the pumping station, lifting station, fountains, and artesian wells, including:

  • Continuous operation and monitoring of pumping stations, lifting stations, fountains, and artesian wells.
  • Preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance of pumps, motors, valves, generators, electrical panels, control systems, and mechanical equipment.
  • Operation and maintenance of pumping and lifting systems, including pumps, pipelines, reservoirs, and associated infrastructure.
  • Operation and maintenance of artesian wells, including well equipment, submersible pumps, electrical systems, and monitoring systems.
  • Operation and maintenance of fountain systems, including water circulation, filtration, pumping, and control equipment.
  • Inspection, cleaning, and maintenance of pipelines, tanks, valves, and related hydraulic structures.
  • Operation and maintenance of SCADA, instrumentation, automation, and control systems where applicable.
  • Monitoring water flow rates, pressure levels, equipment performance, and operational parameters to ensure efficient system performance.
  • Emergency response and troubleshooting to minimise operational interruptions.
  • Spare parts management, equipment condition assessment, and replacement of deteriorated components.
  • Development and implementation of technical training programmes for operation and maintenance personnel covering equipment operation, maintenance procedures, safety requirements, and best practices.
  • Preparation of operational reports, performance evaluations, and technical documentation in accordance with New Urban Communities Authority requirements.
  • Implementation of occupational health, safety, and environmental (HSE) standards throughout all project activities.

Technological Impact

The project enhances the efficiency, reliability, and sustainability of water infrastructure systems in 10th of Ramadan City through the integration of advanced operation and maintenance technologies. The implementation of SCADA systems, real-time monitoring, automated control solutions, predictive maintenance strategies, and digital asset management improves operational visibility, enables early fault detection, and optimises the performance of pumping stations, lifting stations, fountains, and artesian wells.

The technical training programmes strengthen the capabilities of operation and maintenance teams, support knowledge transfer, and promote the adoption of modern water facility management practices. These technological and operational improvements contribute to reducing downtime, improving energy efficiency, extending equipment life cycles, enhancing service reliability, and ensuring sustainable operation of water facilities throughout 10th of Ramadan City.
