Project Overview
This project, carried out for the Saudi Arabia Ministry of Defense / KAMA, involves the replacement and upgrading of the existing water supply and sewage networks at the College.
The project aims to modernise the aging water distribution and wastewater collection infrastructure by replacing deteriorated pipelines and associated components with new, high-performance systems. It includes civil, mechanical, and electromechanical works to improve the reliability, efficiency, and sustainability of the water and sewage networks while ensuring uninterrupted utility services throughout the facility.
The project supports the Ministry of Defense’s infrastructure development programme by enhancing operational reliability, reducing water losses and sewage leakage risks, and ensuring compliance with applicable engineering, environmental, and health standards.
Scope of Work
The project encompasses the complete replacement and upgrading of the existing water and sewage networks, including:
- Site investigation, condition assessment, and preparation of replacement plans.
- Removal and disposal of existing deteriorated water supply and sewage pipelines.
- Supply and installation of new water distribution pipelines and sewage collection networks.
- Installation of valves, fittings, manholes, chambers, hydrants, and associated network accessories.
- Construction and rehabilitation of pipeline trenches, backfilling, and surface restoration works.
- Installation and connection of electromechanical equipment where required, including pumps and control systems.
- Modification and integration of new networks with existing infrastructure and utility services.
- Pressure testing, leakage testing, flushing, cleaning, and disinfection of water pipelines.
- Inspection, testing, and commissioning of the completed water and sewage networks.
- Preparation of as-built drawings, technical documentation, testing reports, and commissioning records.
- Coordination of construction activities to minimise service interruptions during replacement works.
- Ensuring compliance with occupational health, safety, and environmental (HSE) requirements throughout project execution.
