Project Overview
This project, carried out for the Saudi Irrigation Organization (SIO), involves comprehensive operation and maintenance services for lifting stations and irrigation networks in Riyadh Governorate.
The project aims to ensure the continuous, efficient, and reliable operation of irrigation infrastructure through professional operation, preventive maintenance, corrective maintenance, and technical management practices. It focuses on maintaining the performance of pumping facilities, ensuring efficient water distribution, and improving the reliability of irrigation systems in accordance with operational requirements and sustainability objectives.
The project supports effective water resource management, enhances irrigation system efficiency, and contributes to the sustainable operation of agricultural and landscaping irrigation facilities in Riyadh Governorate.
Scope of Work
The project encompasses comprehensive operation and maintenance activities for lifting stations and irrigation networks, including:
- Operation and monitoring of irrigation lifting stations and associated facilities.
- Operation and maintenance of pumps, motors, valves, pipelines, control panels, electrical systems, and electromechanical equipment.
- Preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance of pumping stations and network components.
- Inspection, maintenance, and rehabilitation of irrigation pipelines, chambers, valves, and hydraulic structures.
- Monitoring water flow rates, pressure levels, pumping efficiency, and network performance.
- Operation and maintenance of control, instrumentation, automation, and SCADA systems where applicable.
- Detection and repair of leaks, faults, and operational issues within the irrigation network.
- Optimisation of pumping operations to improve energy efficiency and water distribution performance.
- Testing and calibration of equipment and measurement devices.
- Emergency response and troubleshooting to minimise service interruptions.
- Spare parts management, equipment condition assessment, and replacement of damaged components.
- Preparation of operation and maintenance plans, technical reports, and performance evaluations.
- Ensuring compliance with occupational health, safety, and environmental (HSE) requirements throughout all project activities.
